Uninsured Services

The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover all services. In accordance with the Ontario Medical Association's guidelines, fees will be charged for uninsured services. Individual physicians reserve the right to adjust or waive fees without prior notice.

Some examples of uninsured services include:

  • Completion of medical forms
  • Sick notes
  • Transfer of records
  • Insurance notes (eg. massage therapy, physiotherapy, orthotics)
  • Procedures which are not medically necessary (eg. skin tag removal, benign mole removal)
  • Missed appointment fee
